Writings are winning pieces in the 2015 Writing Contest for Oklahoma Students and Teachers, sponsored by the Oklahoma Writing Project. Students and teachers from across the state are encouraged to enter their writings in the annual competition. This year 42 teachers entered 360 writings in the competition. A site of the National Writing Project, OWP is a professional learning community celebrating good teachers and excellent teaching. Teachers trained in the OWP Summer Institute are available as consultants for professional development in Oklahoma schools and districts. The Oklahoma Writing Project is sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the University of Oklahoma, and the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. This anthology was printed at no cost to the citizens of Oklahoma.
