These 200 explanations reference the poems in 99 broken buildings and 99 missed calls by the same author (plus 2 bonus poems that are the opposite of a broken building and a missed call). A 'broken building' is a metaphor for something that was built with love and care (such as a relationship) but which is now, at best, poorly maintained or, at worst, lost. A 'missed (or lost) call' is a metaphor for loss and anxiety (who was it? what was it about? was it urgent? was it good news or bad?). These explanations reveal some of the hidden levels beneath the surface of each poem: either the damaged foundations of a broken building or the misunderstood miscommunications of a missed call.
