The second chapbook from spoken word artist Travis Kyng, 20 For 20, is a collection of his most introspective works to date. Following his previous release, The Phoenix That Rose From Water: The Vocal Booth Chronicles II, the author utilizes the emotional times of the year 2020. Kyng also vectors his views of society, often perpetuating his conflicted emotions in various tones throughout the passage. With 20 poems included, 20 For 20 can be seen as an allegory of 20/20 vision, seeing the world for what he believes it truly is, and also as homage to 20 years since ever attempting to perform spoken word at the age of 12. In closing, the authors endgame for this chapbook, is for it to become a time capsule of his life living in uncertain times, and also serve as transparent narrative for future generations to come.
