2 Days in Cuxhaven: With the Horizon S3 pro on the road

Cuxhaven is not Berlin. Cuxhaven is Cuxhaven.
Like Berlin, you simply have to like Cuxhaven.
My first encounter with the city dates back to the early eighties of the last millennium. My girlfriend at the time, Anke Ehlers, and I saw Cuxhaven as something like a place of longing. Why, I can no longer say.
We got into my rusty old Mercedes Benz 230 late one evening and drove to Cuxhaven.
We arrived there in the morning.
And left again immediately.
Cuxhaven was no place of longing, but dirty, grey and surrounded by seagulls. Horrendous prices for a fish roll.
My second experience with the town was this: some of the most awful people in my life found Cuxhaven so wonderful. Nothing could actually be better than Cuxhaven. Well, these people came from Alfeld, a town that is as ugly as hardly any other in Germany. So it's understandable if you want to go to Cuxhaven. Cuxhaven is not beautiful, but there are worse places.
Then in the 2020s I went to Cuxhaven again, with my gallery sheep, Martina Hellmich. Afterwards, I saw the city in a more differentiated way.
Cuxhaven is not beautiful, but it's also not as terrible as I remembered. It has something like "atmosphere". Including the inverted commas that go with it.
The pictures shown in this catalogue perpetuate an exhibition that was shown as analogue enlargements at a farm in North Friesland on 1 February 2023.
The images were given away to visitors after the exhibition.
All pictures were taken on 16 September 2016 and 30 September 2016 with a Horizon S3 pro camera on Kentmere 400 film.
The image selection was made by Martina Hellmich. The lab work, including all lime spots, by Foto-Weckbrodt, Hannover.
