Obviously dated, but…

While the recipes are obviously hit or miss, I like that it’s a bit simpler than recipe books coming out nowadays. Modern things always seem to want to shove as much fruit and nuts into a classic meat dish, or experimental herbs and spices, and this is a lot more ‘pot roast’, ‘mashed potatoes’, ‘holiday gelatin’. Classic stuff. I got it on a whim because I collect cookbooks and I was born that year, but I’m actually pleased with the purchase.
