Bertha Miller was a news correspondent for the Sacramento Bee and the Reno Evening Gazette in the 1950s. She also was the only professional photographer in the small town of Portola, CA. This book covers the year 1957, and all the activities of the community that year, and is the 4th in a series, beginning with 1954 followed by 1955 and 1956. There are articles and over 300 photos showing the activities of that year, plus an index. This is a must have book if you or your ancestors lived in Portola during 1957, and is also a very interesting look at a period of time gone forever.
