Open your mind. With the advance of deforestation and the help of digital filtering of satellite images, I have discovered no less than 1,200 beautiful thousand-year-old buildings in the middle of the Brazilian Amazon - totally unprecedented. They are prehistoric works, some dating back to 6,000 years, incredibly complex and advanced - the largest aquaculture works of prehistory that humanity has ever seen. In this book, you will be amazed by these monumental, grandiose and unique constructions made by those who were the first architects and engineers of Brazil. You will participate in an important archaeological discovery that will value a people without name and without history. A people relegated to a lower plane and undervalued by most scientists and researchers. We know almost nothing about them. What is their ethnicity, where they came from, how long they lived in Brazil and what language they spoke. However, they were: much more intelligent, complex and technological than we could ever imagine. It was these Paleo-Indians who really discovered and colonized the Amazon and a good part of Brazil and, mysteriously, after a self-sustaining life with thousands of years of a history full of achievements, they simply disappeared - without a trace. Where did they go? They left behind a heritage of immeasurable value -- archaeological sites cut by thousands of kilometers of aqueducts, tens of thousands of aquaculture tanks, fortifications and lost cities - true oases of wealth and knowledge - that are wrongly called geoglyphs. It is difficult to understand how an extraordinary people, who built fantastic works like those described here, went unnoticed by generations of researchers. Since the discovery of the first "geoglyphs" in 1977, decades have passed and almost nothing has been added to the fundamental questions we will ask in this book. Despite several published studies, everything is still very nebulous and inconclusive: there are more questions than answers. Today, to the disgrace of our Historical Heritage, these monumental works are abandoned by the Government and decompose to the flavor of the bad weather and the criminal agricultural machines. And, as criminal deforestation advances, more pre-Columbian engineering works are discovered feeding a cycle of destruction that must be stopped. If urgent measures are not taken, none of them will survive: only the images will remain. The book is unprecedented - the text and its conclusions are a by-product of the research I have done. It aims to rescue some of the dignity of a people - who even having built one of the most monumental works of the history of this country, remains in obscurity, forgotten and despised by almost everyone. Embark with me on this epic journey and meet the first engineers in Brazil, after 12,000 years of abandonment.
