Jon Kagan is cracking up. His long-term relationship is over. The life he's built has crumbled, and he's approaching 40 with only tattered remains left. In search for a fresh start; some semblance of tranquility and with his border collie Luna in tow, they hit the highway and retreat to a vacant family oasis tucked away in the Maryland woods. The plan is to clean-up after an early winter storm; pack up the few remaining items and prep the empty place for sale. Jon hopes for a chance to recharge, rebuild and learn to enjoy life again.The freak storm has left damage and debris in its wake, and there's a lot of work to do. He and Luna try to leave a light footprint. Jon connects with an old friend and reignites a relationship with an old flame. He's wrestling with personal demons and trying to make sense of it all. But the storm was a harbinger. And they soon realize they're not alone in the empty house.
