Fantastic Little Book

I'm so very sorry this book is out of print. I purchased a copy at the Beijing domestic travel terminal just two weeks ago. But when my host -- a native Chinese who is studying English -- saw the text he became engrossed in it. Of course I had to give it to him -- fully expecting to be able to purchase another at the airport when I returned home. Alas, the book was not available in the international terminal and I find I am out of luck. That sad story over -- it is a delightful volume, with clear brief essays that cover so many of those awkward social issues and interpret between the Chinese and westerners. My student host assures me that from his experience the book is entirely accurate and revealing. It does much to ease mutual inter-cultural understanding.
