101 Places Not to Visit has it all: dull attractions, pointless festivals, sites famous for their biohazards or radioactivity, tips on how to avoid marriage to locals desperate to escape, and more.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
The majority of reviewers of this delightlfully catty, satirical book clearly fall outside the realm of intended readers--those who hate to travel. To those who have misunderstood the book's intended audience, I would suggest Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal."
It's a parody, people!

I think several of the reviewers missed the point entirely. This is a book of humor. It is a parody of other travel books whose authors may or may not take themselves too seriously. Personally, I loved this book and laughed out loud most of the way through it. Sure, the author makes factual errors and plays upon cultural stereotypes that some may find offensive. Lighten up! He pokes fun at places that I happen to love, but that didn't stop me from laughing at his wit and clever turns of phrase. My only complaint is that the type font is quite small and a strain on the eyes.
