Limericks. Short poems that follow a AABBA rhyming style and are often (though not always) humorous. Ever since Edward Lear popularized the style in the 19th century, they've become a staple in children's books, poetry collections, and generally anywhere creative writing resides. To show my appreciation for the style, I've written a hundred original pieces of prose in limerick fashion, and a longer, multi-limerick tale called "Monmouth" based off the tales and history of King Arthur and Roman Dictator Julius Caesar. Perhaps some of my poems will bring you intrigue, a good chuckle, or inspiration to make your own!
