An excellent second volume of the 'Blue Bicycle' Trilogy

I have written at length in reviews of "The Blue Bicycle" and "The Devil Still Laughs" about the author and the story. This book was originally published as 'Lea'. The new title refers to the building address where the Gestapo and Vichy forces took resistance fighters and those suspected of being resistance fighters for questioning. Plot and character developments in this book make it essential reading before continuing on to the last of the series. Engrossing--terrifying.

Wonderful!

In a scenary os suffering and destruction, Léa Delmas, young and beaultifull, discovers the cowardness and dangerness of collaborationship with the enemies between her parents and friends. Some, however, prefered to fight, even if they'd had to put their friends in risk..This was the way choosen by Lea, who becomes engaged into the resistance in order to fight back the deutchs and to try to save it's cared people and it's loved country.
