Pure Perfection for Pin-up Lovers!

If you're a fan of Bettie Page, Dita von Teese, or Mad Men, you'll love this book. It's basically page after page of magazine covers and (cheesy, kitschy, utterly adorable) photo-spreads from your parent's generation. For true fans of pin-up culture, you'll probably spot a few photos that you've seen floating about elsewhere on the internet, but most of the artwork was entirely new to me...and I write a blog on lingerie ([...])! The only sad thing is that this book is no longer published, and you'll have to pay an arm and leg for a volume that cost less than $10 a few months ago. Definitely worth picking up if you find an affordable version though!

Fun coffee table book

This book is very nice- full of charming high quality images of old pin ups.

Perfect Little Collection of Pin-Ups

I was wanting to start a library with different pin-up collections and this was the perfect one to start with. It's a small book but has plenty of eye candy. Would buy this for friends researching or interested in Pin-ups.

1000 pin-up girls 925 anniversary special edtn0

I just love the old pinup girls. THe girls look so sexy in the dresses and stockings. And then, that little bit of wind the dress goes up and you see that bit of stocking and garter and if you are lucky her panties. now you have same in black and white plus same colour one. I think the book could have been a little bigger than it is so that you can lay the book flat on a table so you can read it. But overall the book is grate for my collection.

Not nearly enough

This book originally was planned for 1956 but somehow the gallies [no pun?] wound up buried beneath Ed Norton's collection of books on Astrology. I guess he became friendly with the original publisher who had an office near his worksite on Madison Avenue. Just a little fantasy...on a fanatsy. The "fantasy" today is that femininity cannot square with workplace and social assertiveness. We're on the androgyny tip today...not that there's anything wrong with that. Just like today, "sex sells" in these classic covers from "Beauty Parade", "Mink", et. al magz. But back then, it was actually "sexism sells". The models looked in to the camera eye with a touch of....forgive me......"vulnerability"? Va-va-va-voom!!!
