One Hundred Years of Cars!

This is a pretty thorough view of cars since the beginning of the automotive industry. What I liked about the book was that it showed not only the cars but a lot of the advertisements in the the industry's "golden age" of the 1950's. With all the down-turns in the economy as of the writing of this review, and GM, Ford, and Chrysler, all in trouble, and the fact that the age of innocence is long gone, it is fun to get into this book every once in a while and look at cars when they had personality, when they didn't all look alike, and when the new model year in September was something exciting to look forward to. This is more of a "memory book" and it chronicles the emergence of the automobile in all its different shapes, sizes, and colors. If you are a 'car junkie' like me, you'll love it!

This book is amazing!

My father and my uncle both own this book. It's the most informative book I've ever seen about American cars. Every page has anywhere from four to ten pictures on it. No space goes empty; it is filled with words, descriptions, the year the car came out, the price it was when it first launched, cars you've never even seen before, etc., etc.!! The entire book goes in chapter order from the years 1900 to 2000 using each decade as it's own chapter. It's extremely enjoyable and very informative. This book is great for car lovers, people who are interested in American iconic history, and fact driven individuals. I can't believe it's so cheap now! This book was around sixty dollars when it first rolled off the presses! I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
