In 1920 two former World War One soldiers, Joe Lodge and his cousin Charles Mead, started a bus service between their home village of High Easter and the nearby City of Chelmsford in Essex using an ex-military converted Model T Ford. The bus service grew to become a success. The business later passed to Joe's twin sons and is now run by his three grandsons - Robert, Andrew and Chris. The firm now operates from its fourth location within High Easter, which consist of purpose-built workshops and a paint shop. With a range of rare and previously unpublished images, Andrew Mead celebrates a century of coaching excellence.
