Well, this book is great! It may look a little boring but it's really interesing. It tells you all about things to do and see before you die, not the usual things like go and see the Egyptian pyramids or the Louvre in Paris but interesting things that you need to know! I would reccomend this book to people age 10 and over.
Projects to dream on

Since this booklet was issued by the British weekly "New Scientist" magazine, many of the suggestions concerning things to do before you die have the flavor of science projects. It's also a great little book to consult if you're planning an off-the-beaten-track vacation. One of my favorite destinations is Mosquito Bay off the small Caribbean island of Vieques. The authors suggest taking out a kayak on a moonless night and reveling among the bioluminescent dinoflagellates. I picture the experience as being a bit like appearing in your own version of "The Matrix." If this doesn't appeal to you, how about becoming a human particle detector, discovering a comet, or visiting Tuvalu, an island paradise of coral lagoons and coconut palms that is about to disappear beneath the waters of the South Pacific? The latter trip would allow you--with only a bit of exaggeration--to tell your great-grand children that you once walked the mysterious byways of Atlantis or Mu. I like to open up this little book (less than 100 pages) at bedtime and pick a new project or destination to mull on as I fall asleep. The editors even encourage their readers to contribute to the next edition by submitting their ideas of what they'd like to do before they die--as long as they have some sort of scientific twist. Email suggestions to 100things (at) newscientist.com. Myself, I'd love to visit the ice geysers of Enceladus and watch Saturn disappear and reappear behind their unearthly fog.
