The year 2016 was the 300th anniversary of the birth of Jakuchu Ito, the driving force of the Japanese art boom today. An exhibition held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum The 300th Anniversary of his Birth: Jakuchu opened with huge fanfare, and included a special feature to display all 30 screens of the great masterpiece Flora and Fauna, which belongs to the Museum of the Imperial Collections.
