For Beginner to Intermediate jewellers

This book's biggest weakness is it's lack of thread paths, but I suspect that in quite a few cases they could be figured out without a lot of trouble. The projects and color combinations are really not the prettiest I've seen, but ideally you want to learn something new, not just be entertained,even though I like that myself, I have my fair share of beading books at home!There is a decent tutorial at the back of the book on basic stitches used to make jewellery and maybe the author's intention was for us to refer to these as well. For $16. it's not a bad buy at all. It's hard to find something really unique out there these days, in terms of beaded jewellery and books, it seems to me it's all been done.For Beginner to Intermediate bead jewellers.

A Pretty Good Book

This book has both it's high and low points. I've enjoyed looking at the different necklace designs and the 'basic skills' section has been very helpful. However, I've found that some of the instructions are vague or otherwise less than helpful. If you have an intuitive sense of what you're doing (or are willing to experiment) that's fine, but otherwise things can get a little confusing.

Excellent Book

This is a lovely book full of gorgeous designs. The directions are straightforward and easy enough for beginners to be able to follow. For the more experienced beaders, there are suggestions on how to adapt the designs. It's had me looking through my bead stash for beads that I've owned for a while but not yet found the right setting for - some of her designs have given me that "a-ha!" feeling. I would thoroughly recommend this book to any beader.
