The authors firmly believe that there are three primary ways in which we learn and grow: (1) from the teacher (leader), (2) from the textbook (God's Word), and (3) from others (fellow students) - not necessarily in that order. While the leader can provide some insight and we can definitely learn much from the Bible, it is the life experiences and viewpoints of others that are also valuable.
