The Biblical Books written by the apostle Paul includes 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus. These epistles or letters to the churches address how Timothy should address the false teachers who are in the church in Ephesus. The second Epistle is more personal which is written near the end of Paul's life. In this second Epistle he encourages Timothy to be a faithful partner in his own suffering for the gospel. Again, false teachers are present and need correction. But all the while, Paul wants Timothy to remain faithful to His calling. Both 1 & 2 Timothy encourage Timothy to remain firm in the Lord's calling and to shepherd the church at Ephesus as these same words help us today. In the book of Titus Paul appoints Titus to establish sound heathy churches throughout the island of Crete. His job was to appoint elders throughout the island. Therefore, Paul makes it clear to Titus what the qualifications should look like. He also, like in 1 Timothy gives warning about false teachers.
