Remaining Anecdotes of Martial Arts is a collection of classical Chinese short stories written by Lin Shu. Each piece is concise and forceful, focusing on portraying a character skilled in martial arts, and combines both storytelling and literary quality. These characters come from all walks of life and have distinct personalities. Remaining Anecdotes of Martial Arts pioneered the trend of modern "martial arts" series fiction. After 1910, several writers produced sequels or supplements to it. Qian Jibo's Supplement to Remaining Anecdotes of Martial Arts was published relatively early, beginning serialization in Fiction Monthly in 1914. 技击是指利用身体、器械进行搏斗的技巧。 《技击余闻》是林纾创作的一部文言短篇小说集，每篇文字短小精悍，着力描摹一个擅长技击的人物，故事性与文学性兼具。这些人物来自三教九流，个性分明。《技击余闻》开创了近代"技击"系列小说的风潮。1910年以后有多位撰者为其作续或补。钱基博《技击余闻补》发表较早，1914年开始在《小说月报》连载。 Lin Shu (1852-1924), courtesy name Qinnan, pseudonym Weilu, also known by other pen names such as Leng Hongsheng, Jian Zhuoweng, and Li Sou, was a native of Min County, Fujian (present-day Fuzhou). He was a renowned modern literary figure and translator. He taught successively at academies and schools in Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Beijing, and other places, and in his later years made a living by translating books and selling his writings. His works include Collected Works of Weilu, Surviving Poems of Weilu, Record of Loyal Blood in the Capital, Notes of Weilu, Miscellaneous Records of Weilu, and A Study of the Prose of Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan. He translated more than 200 works, including those of Shakespeare, Conan Doyle, Victor Hugo, Balzac, Dickens, Ibsen, Tolstoy, and other famous authors. 林纾（1852-1924），字琴南，号畏庐，别署冷红生、践卓翁、蠡叟等，福建闽县（今福州市）人。近代著名文学家、翻译家。曾先后任教于福州、杭州、北京等地书院、学堂，晚年以译书卖文为生。著有《畏庐文集》《畏庐诗存》《京华碧血录》《畏庐笔记》《畏庐琐记》《韩柳文研究法》等。译著200余种，包括莎士比亚、科南-道尔、雨果、巴尔扎克、狄更斯、易卜生、托尔斯泰等名家的著作。
