It teaches the significant role of parents in shaping the future of their children, the grave outcomes of suppressed anger and emotional neglect, the beauty and sacrifice of compassionate love and the fruits of child abuse through a female protagonist. In an artistic way, the book also presents challenges of urban & rural styles of life, as well as discouraging unhealthy traditional practices from the Eritrean Tigrinya society.
