The development and transformation of Nanshan District epitomize China's reform and opening-up. The success of Nanshan embodies the underlying logic of China's rise. The achievements made in Nanshan's economic and social development, as well as in its grassroots governance, reflect a dimension of the Chinese model. They demonstrate to the world the vibrant vitality and bright prospects of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and prove that reform and opening-up is the only path for China to achieve industrialization and modernization, and to realize prosperity for its people and strength for the nation. Through his distinctive "Third World perspective," he observes and studies the development and transformation of the contemporary world economic system, revealing the unique patterns of industrialization in the Third World under the conditions of capital globalization, and offering a new interpretation of the historical context behind the revival of contemporary nationalism. His representative works include Modern Western Political Theories and An Introduction to the Development of Modern Capitalism. He also serves as Director of the General Office for Rental Housing Management in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Guest Professor at the School of Management of Shenzhen University, Invited Research Fellow at the Institute of Urban Governance, and Off-campus Practical Supervisor for Master's Students at the Graduate School of Shenzhen University. 房宁，1957年6 月生，现任中国社科院政治学研究所所长、首都师范大学教授、中国政治学会理事、高等学校社会科学发展研究中心兼职研究员等。以其独特的"第三世界视角"观察、研究当代世界经济体系的发展变化，揭示在资本全球化条件下的第三世界工业化发展的特殊规律，对于当代民族主义复兴的历史背景做出了新的诠释。代表性著作：《现代西方政治理论》《现代资本主义发展引论》等,深圳市南山区出租屋综合管理办公室主任，深圳大学管理学院客座教授、城市治理研究院特邀研究员、研究生院硕士研究生校外实践导师。
