Humorous stories and sketches about Greek society,

His ability to take what could be dry, boring subjects and turn them into something interesting, captivating, and genuinely educational is unmatched. He was truly one of the best. I wasn't born in the 1950s or 1960s—my parents were. And that makes reading Tsiforos even more fascinating to me. Through his stories and observations, I get a glimpse into the culture, attitudes, people, and everyday life of the era in which my parents grew up. What I especially love is that Tsiforos doesn't romanticize it. He presents that era with all its humor, contradictions, absurdities, and realities. No sugarcoating, no pretending it was something it wasn't. Reading him gives me a little window into the Greece that shaped my parents—and, in many ways, helped shape me. That is what makes Tsiforos so much more than entertaining. He makes history feel alive
