Timeless wisdom entertaining style easy-to-grasp explanations of Success Principles

In her classic book, THE GAME OF LIFE AND HOW TO PLAY IT, Florence Scovel Shinn established herself as the leading prosperity writer of her era whose down-to-earth, practical, and helpful suggestions appealed to readers and seekers from all walks of life. Years after their initial publications, Shinn's books continue to reign as some of today's most prominent prosperity resources.

Although her original work was composed in the prevailing dialect of that time, her lessons, stories, and insight engaged female readers despite the masculine references. In response to the call from the growing number of women who yearn to connect on a deeper level with her soul-stirring concepts, Shinn's beloved writings have now been updated with contemporary references that empower the feminine spirit and allow women to easily relate to the essence of her genuine thoughts.

"The Game of Life and How to Play It," published in 1925, serves as a foundational text that emphasizes the importance of positive thinking and affirmations in shaping one's reality. Shinn's teachings advocate for the idea that life is a game where our thoughts and words are the tools we use to create our experiences. This book is particularly notable for its timeless wisdom and practical guidance, which continue to resonate with readers today. "Your Word is Your Wand," published in 1928, delves into the creative power of language and affirmations. Shinn argues that the words we speak have the ability to shape our circumstances and that by consciously choosing our words, we can influence the unfolding of our destinies. This book provides specific affirmations for various life situations, making it a practical guide for those looking to harness the power of their words. "The Secret Door to Success," published in 1940, explores the concept of success from a spiritual perspective. This work offers insights into how to overcome obstacles and turn defeat into victory, poverty into prosperity, fear into faith, and resentment into love. "The Power of the Spoken Word," published in 1945, reinforces the idea that our words have a profound impact on our lives. Shinn underscores the importance of integrity in our speech and the need to align our words with higher principles. This book serves as a reminder of the sacredness of words and their connection to spiritual laws. Overall, "The Collection" is a powerful and timeless guide that continues to inspire and empower individuals on their journeys of self-discovery and spiritual growth. A voice from the past

So FSS lived in the late 1800s, early 1900s. Having read this book, I feel like she was extremely forward thinking in her religious and spiritual views, which makes her a new hero of mine. She was definitely seeking answers with the tools she had available to her, and wasn't afraid to speak about the truths she was finding. But the old fashioned tone of the book, along with countless references to Christianity and the Bible, may rub many of other religions or belief sets the wrong way. Conversely, those who have a Christian mindset may find that her beliefs are too far off the beaten path. If you are just looking for truth in whatever form you can find it, however, and don't mind a voice that is a bit dated, I think it's a wonderful source or information on manifesting, believing in the power of the universe, and utilizing affirmations. I find myself going back to it for new affirmations to speak over my life frequently.
