After twenty years of practicing, I have decided to outline my method of learning the Tarot for others because it is the simplest and most effective way I've discovered. Rather than memorizing the descriptions for each Tarot Card, this guide teaches you to recognize the symbols included in the imagery and what they signify. Many symbols are timeless and largely repeated throughout the deck, allowing you to interpret a number of meanings for a number of cards, needing a smaller amount of information. This book specifically covers the 22 cards of the Major Arcana, including three seperate decks. Also included are the messages specific to each card in a reading and keywords that you can apply to them for a general understanding. These symbols are also embedded in the Minor Arcana and not limited to only the Major, putting you at an advantage when you start to learn those 54, as well. This method of study has been the best in helping me retain and interpret the information related to the cards and their indications, as well as guiding others in their understanding of them. It makes the Tarot more user- friendly where the artwork itself doesn't exactly speak to the fortune- teller's instincts. Instincts are an essential ingredient when doing a reading. One will find that with a greater knowledge of symbolism, our own impulses will begin to make divining the story told by the cards more like second- nature. As a follow- up to this first edition, a study of the Minor Arcana will be completed next. If, like me, you weren't feeling a connection when reading, because you struggled with understanding what the cards were saying to you, then this will hopefully be the last and only book on Tarot you will need- besides the next that will cover the rest of the deck
