Gunnery Sargent Amos M. Jones: Mess Hall recipes from the late 1940's

Amos Jones was a Chef in the marine Corps. When you would visit the mess hall he was in charge of there would be a paradise of flowers surrounding it. As with his food, he always said food should look as good as it tastes. His mashed potatoes were formed into roses, his table was elegant and food delicious. His children of which he had 6, grew up on recipes from the Marine Corps and not food passed down by the family legacy. These recipes are a joy to explore and share, walk down the path of memories of yesterday's past. The recipes that were found in a shoe box are approximately 80 years old.
