This was such a great book!!!😍 The writing style was captivating and I was sucked into the story from chapter one. I loved both main characters in this story, Maggie and Oliver completely stole my heart!❤️ Oliver was an absolute gentleman and SO charming. (The scene that gave "who did this to you" vibes? 🤭🫠!!!!!) Also, kudos to them for pushing and holding back most of their feelings until the end! (Could we see this more? Please and thank you.🙂‍↕️🙏🏼) The faith content was also beautifully done, it started more subtly, but as the story progressed we saw more and more. Still present and impactful. And really well done. Now, this leads into what I didn't like. We have a villain who twists scriptures, and on top of that we get his POV. Let's just say I wasn't the biggest fan of it, and then getting that last chapter with him..won't spoil, but I will say I saw it coming. There were hints of it happening, but I was still surprised it did.! So, that is the only reason this book isn't 5 stars. And trust me it was a hard decision! Overall great book that I definitely recommend and looking forward to reading more from this author.☺️

great historical fiction

Another great story by a favorite author. I was hooked from the beginning and read the entire book in one sitting. (Ok, I was up until 3am reading!) The characters are realistic, flawed, yet wonderfully relatable and endearing especially as their past struggles are revealed. The past does not always stay the past and watching Oliver and Maggie deal with it is highly entertaining. With great, well-developed characters, a story line that is action-packed, strong spiritual truths, a lot of suspense and twists to the plot, romance and, voilá, The House at the End of the Moor is a book that lovers of historical fiction will not want to miss.
