Thrilling story!

Yes, this book is dark. And it really made me wish that Tisaanah and Max could catch a break, a breath, and maybe some little happiness together. But the story was quite interesting, especially with the addition of Aefe's point of view because I knew that it would weave its way into the present and reveal great and terrible secrets. And it certainly did! I kinda guessed it but it still shocked me with the way it happened. I still am rooting for Tisaanah! No matter what gets thrown at her (and boy is it a lot with betrayals of old friends and others using her for her link to Reshaye), she always rises back up again. I love how she is willing to fight with everything to protect her friends and those unable to protect themselves. And beware to those who hurt them, for Tisaanah will wreak vengeance tenfold (with or without Reshaye she is a force to be reckoned with!) There is not much time for romance in this book but there are still sweet moments between Tisaanah and Max and hope that there may be more after all the fighting, even with what happens at the end. Lots of tragedy, death, heartbreak but I will happily keep reading (cause I can't stop after that bombshell of a cliffhanger!) to see how the people of the present can fix the mistakes of the past. I am super glad I got the chance to read this and I am still loving the new covers!
