A classic story by a wonderful author

I first read this book over 20 years ago, and the story stayed with me for years. I have periodically reread "The White Flower" in the intervening 2 decades, and the story remain fresh and exciting. This is one that I will introduce to my daughter one she is old enough.

Captivating and tender romance

Thrilling to the last minute with realisic and cultured dialogue, this is an excellent novel of sincere devotion.

The White Flower

This book is about Rachel Rainsford, a young woman whose father has recently died, who is on her way to take a job in California. She is naive and innocent and soon discovers that the man who hires her and is escorting her to her new job on the train has sold her to a wealthy businessman. With the aid of one of her father's former students, Chan Prescott, Rachel escapes. It is only the beginning of their flight.I loved this book and enjoyed how I was lulled into peacefulness and then set racing away from danger. Through it all, God is present.
