This is a story of beginnings: a seemingly ordinary woman quits her job writing computer manuals and moves over 3000 miles to train at Killer Kowalski's wrestling school near Boston and becomes Amanda Storm. One year later finds her fighting in front of 6000 people in one week and the proud holder of championships in three different federations. Storm regularly trains with, wrestles, and body slams men who outweigh her by over 100 pounds. This has earned her the nickname "BlakWidow" and she is quickly becoming one of the dominant female wrestlers in the Eastern United States and Canada. In BlakWidow: My First Year as a Professional Wrestler, Amanda writes about how she got to where she is now, the problems, the victories, and the upheaval in her life. How did a woman with a university English degree transform herself into the man-eating professional wrestler she is today? BlakWidow tells the whole story in a way that's never been documented before, complete with exclusive never-before-seen photographs.
Amanda Storm's book is a true look at wrestling. It's nice to hear someone on the inside admit that, although the physical aspects are real, the winners are determined before the match begins. It's also a wake-up call to those looking to get into wrestling. The sacrifices that need to be made when you're just starting out are tremendous. Great job Amanda! I look forward to your book on your second year in wrestling.
Excellent!

Amanda Storm's book captures the essence fo what it's like to break into professional wrestling from a woman's point of view. It has a lot of more grit and character than many of the "superstar bios" that have been published of late. This is a unique view of professional wrestling that entertaining and very well-written. Get it!
Great book!

This is a great book. Guys like the Rock or Mankind can write a book but this is a really interesting look behind the scenes of pro wrestling that produces guys like the Rock or Mankind. Amanda Storm is very entertaining to read and I will definitely buy anything else with her name on it.
