Not your typical horror storeis

This is an excellent book for both horror fans and fans who just like their fiction a little on the dark side. Mr. Fowler explains some of his motivations for the stories, and several of his explanations helped me to further enjoy the book. For instance, he mentions he was asked to write a short story about superstition, but said he doesn't believe in it. Instead he wrote a kick-ass story about a guy leaving his wife and running into a fortune teller out in the Mojave Desert and she changes both is mind and his life. Highly recommended.
