This is an excellent book. It is a tad old, but the material hasn't really become dated. It contains what is probably the most condensed information on assembly programming I've seen. (If you're a good programmer and already know assembly for one processor, you could probably learn the assembly language of all the architectures covered in this book, from the book.) The writing isn't at all stuffy, and the footnotes are frequently a good laugh.
