Official Rules for the ThriftBooks ACOTAR Giveaway (“Official Rules”):

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THIS PROMOTION IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED, ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, X, TIK TOK, PINTEREST, OR ANY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE PROVIDING YOUR INFORMATION TO THRIFT BOOKS GLOBAL LLC. THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE WILL BE USED AS SET FORTH IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

As a condition of participating in this Giveaway, PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS GIVEAWAY WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, EXCLUSIVELY BEFORE THE STATE OR FEDERAL COURTS IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON.

1. ELIGIBILITY. The ThriftBooks ACOTAR Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, except for the following individuals: (a) employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of Thrift Books Global LLC (“ThriftBooks”) and its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, suppliers, advertising, and giveaway agencies (“Excluded Individuals”); (b) the immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) of Excluded Individuals; and (c) persons living in the same household as Excluded Individuals—whether or not they are related. The Giveaway is void where prohibited by law; all applicable federal, state, and local laws apply. If a winner is at least 18 years old but still considered a minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence, ThriftBooks reserves the right to award the Prize (as defined below) to the winner’s parent or legal guardian, who will be required to fulfill all requirements set forth in these Official Rules.
2. GIVEAWAY PERIOD. Each Giveaway will be for the period stated in this Section 2 (each a “Giveaway Period”). The initial Giveaway Period begins at 12:01 AM Pacific Daylight Time on August 18, 2026, and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time on August 31, 2026. The second Giveaway Period begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on September 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time on September 21, 2026. The third Giveaway Period begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on September 22, 2026, and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time on October 12, 2026. The fourth and final Giveaway Period begins at 12:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on October 13, 2026, and ends at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time on October 26, 2026. ThriftBooks maintains the official Giveaway timekeeping device.
3. ENTRY. To enter, during the applicable Giveaway Period, you must:

Pre-order Book 6 and/or Book 7 of the ACOTAR series using the promo code “VELARIS” at checkout.; by pre-ordering both book 6 and 7, you will earn three entries into the Giveaway and be eligible for the Grand Prize.

3.1. Alternative Method of Entry. Neatly handprint your complete name and e-mail address on a plain 3” x 5” piece of paper and mail it to: ThriftBooks ACOTAR Giveaway, 18300 Cascade Ave S #150, Tukwila, WA 98188. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, any entry using the alternative method of entry will count as three (3) entries into the Giveaway for the applicable Giveaway Period and any subsequent Giveaway Period, including the Grand Prize.

To earn additional “bonus” entries, after completing one of the entry requirements described above, you can:

• Signup or opt-in to email marketing from ThriftBooks.com during the Giveaway Period using the same email you used to enter, to earn one additional entry;
• Refer a friend to Thrift Books using your unique link from https://www.thriftbooks.com/tell-a-friend/ to earn one additional entry (in addition to any Free Book Reward earning for such referral).

Entries for any Giveaway Period will be eligible to win the prize for that Giveaway Period and any subsequent Giveaway Period, except only entries accepted based on the entrant first ordering both Book 6 and Book 7 of the ACOTAR series as described above or by the Alternative Method of Entry described in Section 3.1 will be eligible for the drawing for the Grand Prize.

You may not enter the Giveaway more than once, though you may obtain multiple entries based upon your manner of entry and by obtaining bonus entries as detailed in Section 3 above. All entries must be received within the applicable Giveaway Period. ThriftBooks assumes no liability for incorrect, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries. If any person uses fraudulent methods or otherwise attempts to circumvent the Official Rules, the entries may be disqualified at the sole discretion of ThriftBooks.

By entering the Giveaway, your email address will be used to communicate with you related to the Giveaway and will be added to ThriftBooks’ customer email program; however, you can opt out by clicking the opt-out link in any email. You must be opted in to the customer email program at the end of a Giveaway Period to be eligible for the bonus entry for opting in.

4. PRIZES. ThriftBooks will give away a total of four (4) prize bundles (each a “Prize” and collectively, the “Prizes”), and for the avoidance of doubt, one Prize will be awarded for each Giveaway Period. The Prizes are detailed as follows and by the related Giveaway Period:

A Court of New Beginnings: “Prize #1” to be drawn after the conclusion of the initial Giveaway Period – includes ACOTAR Slipcase, Coloring Book, Sarah J. Maas Biography, Mini Book Charm, and Sticker Pack with an approximate total retail value of $125.56.

The Maasverse Expands: “Prize #2” to be drawn after the conclusion of the second Giveaway Period – includes Crescent City Box Set, ACOTAR Insulated Tumbler, Mini Book Charm, and Sticker Pack with an approximate total retail value of $153.55.

Treasures of Terrasen: “Prize #3” to be drawn after the conclusion of the third Giveaway Period – Throne of Glass Box Set, House of Wind Tote, Scarf, Velaris Keychain, Mini Book Charm, and Sticker Pack with an approximate total retail value of $283.53.

The Complete Court: “Prize #4” or the “Grand Prize” to be drawn after the conclusion of the fourth and final Giveaway Period – A Court of Thorns & Roses Set (full series), 2^nd ACOTAR Slipcase, 100-Question Trivia Book, Mini Book Charm, and Sticker Pack with an approximate total retail value of $390.91.

The Prizes have a total value of up to $1,000. Any cost or expense associated with the acceptance or use of the Prizes not specified herein as being awarded, including, but not limited to, federal, state, or local taxes, are the sole responsibility of the Winner(s). Prize details are at the sole discretion of ThriftBooks. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of the Prize(s) are permitted, except by ThriftBooks who reserves the right to substitute any Prize with one of comparable or greater value.

5. ODDS OF WINNING. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. The Prizes described herein will be awarded.
6. WINNER SELECTION. The “Winner” of each Prize will be selected from eligible entries in a random drawing within ten days of the end of each Giveaway Period. ThriftBooks reserves the right (but is not obligated) to verify eligibility qualifications of the potential Winners. Each Winner will be required to provide their full name and may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. By entering the Giveaway, the entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and to the decisions of ThriftBooks, which will be final and binding in all respects. ThriftBooks reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void the entries of entrants in violation of these Official Rules or believed to have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Giveaway.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION. ThriftBooks will notify each Winner within ten days of the applicable random selection. ThriftBooks will contact the Winner at the email address used by such Winner that resulted in entry into the Giveaway. Each Winner will have seven days to claim their Prize by responding to ThriftBooks’ notification. A potential Winner’s failure to respond by claiming their Prize within seven days of notification, or return of the notification email as non-deliverable, may result in disqualification of such Winner and—at the discretion of ThriftBooks—awarding of the Prize to an alternate Winner.
8. RIGHTS GRANTED BY WINNER. ThriftBooks may use the Winners’ names and likenesses in any medium without permission or further compensation, except as prohibited by law. The identity of the Winners may be obtained by sending a self-addressed and stamped envelope within one year of the Giveaway Period to: ThriftBooks ACOTAR Giveaway Winner’s List, 18300 Cascade Ave S #150, Tukwila, WA 98188.
9. ENTRY TERMS AND THRIFTBOOKS’ USE. By entering, entrants agree: (1) that ThriftBooks may contact the Winners via email and may use the Winners’ names and likenesses; (2) ThriftBooks may store any entrant’s information and may contact entrants in the future regarding ThriftBooks’ promotions or offers; (3) that entrant will not create multiple accounts or otherwise send multiple entries in order to enter the Giveaway more than allowed by these Official Rules; (4) that entrant will not update, post, or link messages in violation of any third party website terms of use or otherwise violate the rights of any third party; (5) that ThriftBooks, and any social media platform, and each respective entity’s affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, and each of their respective representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives (collectively the “Indemnified Parties”), shall have no liability and will each be held harmless by entrant or any party claiming through entrant for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury, or damage to entrant or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to entrant or any other person or damage to personal or real property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use, misuse or non-use of the Prizes, or the participation or non-participation in the Giveaway; (6) that ENTRANTS WAIVE ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM FROM THE INDEMNIFIED PARTIES ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND ATTORNEYS’ FEES; (7) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of ThriftBooks, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Giveaway; (8) to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules or the Giveaway itself; (9) that ThriftBooks is not responsible for taxes associated with winning a Prize in this giveaway; (10) that Winners may be required to provide certain tax related documents to ThriftBooks as required by law before receiving the Prize; (11) that all participants must abide by the terms of use of any social media platform, all third party agreements that may affect or be affected by participation in this Giveaway, and all applicable law; and (12) that all information submitted to ThriftBooks is subject to the ThriftBooks Privacy Policy available through the following link: https://www.thriftbooks.com/privacypolicy.aspx
10. USER-GENERATED CONTENT. As a condition to entering the Giveaway, you agree any user generated content (“UGC”) submitted by you must be either your own work or submitted with the consent of the owner. It is your responsibility to ensure that your submitted UGC does not infringe or violate the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party or laws. Neither ThriftBooks nor its agents will be responsible for returning or preserving any of your submitted UGC or for compensating or crediting you in any way except as specifically provided in these Official Rules.
11. RIGHT TO CANCEL GIVEAWAY. If for any reason this Giveaway is not capable of being run or implemented as planned (as determined by ThriftBooks in its sole discretion), due to any reason including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, computer viruses or bugs, or any other cause of any kind, which, in ThriftBooks’ sole judgment, is likely to or actually corrupts, impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Giveaway (including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause of any kind), then ThriftBooks reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend all or any part of the Giveaway or to disqualify any implicated entrant and any associated entries. In the event of cancellation or termination, ThriftBooks reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to pick the winners in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the event or action warranting such cancellation or termination.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Giveaway is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, ThriftBooks reserves the right to seek damages (including attorneys’ fees) and other remedies from any such person responsible for the attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law. ThriftBooks reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrants whom ThriftBooks believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Giveaway or is in violation of these Official Rules, and void all associated entries.

12. DISCLAIMER. ThriftBooks is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, delayed, garbled, inaccurate, postage due or undelivered mail, or for telephonic, human, or computer failures, interruptions in service due to system upgrades, repairs, modifications, or other causes, failures or malfunctions of connections, satellite, network, cable, Internet Service Provider (ISP), phones, phone lines or telephone systems, traffic congestion on the internet, technical or mechanical malfunctions, or other malfunctions or errors, whether caused by equipment, programming, human error or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Giveaway, the processing of entries or electronic mail or the announcement, delivery or use of the Prizes, or for any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Giveaway, or for printing, typographical, computer, network, electronic, mechanical, human or other errors appearing in these Official Rules or other Giveaway-related materials.
13. UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. The failure of ThriftBooks to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, pandemic, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, action of governmental authorities, or any force majeure event or event outside the control of ThriftBooks, whether in whole or in part, will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.
14. SEVERABILITY; WAIVER. These Official Rules will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. If for any reason any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable to any extent, then (A) the provision will be interpreted or reformed to the extent reasonably required to render the provision enforceable and consistent with the original intent underlying the provision; (B) the provision will remain in effect to the extent that it is not unenforceable; and (C) the unenforceability of the provision will not affect any other portion of these Official Rules. The failure by ThriftBooks to enforce any of the provisions of these Official Rules will in no way be construed as a waiver of any provision of these Official Rules in any instance.
15. GOVERNING LAW; JURISDICTION; CLASS ACTION WAIVER: This Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without reference to conflicts of laws principles. As a condition of participating in this Giveaway, PARTICIPANT AGREES THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS GIVEAWAY WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, EXCLUSIVELY BEFORE THE STATE OR FEDERAL COURTS IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON.
