About Our Portland Specialists: Learn about the picks below as selected and described by River and Paul in our Portland, OR processing center. Paul was the first hire in the department and has been working as a Collectible receiver since August 2015. In Paul's own words: "I come from working in an independent brick-and-mortar bookstore for 16 years, doing every job in the store, but specializing later in buying and pricing used books. In previous lives, I have raised chickens and worked in food service. I appreciate a wide variety of books, but especially enjoy finding and selling older, beautifully bound editions (leather, gilt, marbled edges, etc.). I am married with two daughters, and in my free time I enjoy brewing beer, hiking, playing guitar, watching movies, and reading.
