While studying at Fitchburg State College, he became interested in literature. Salvatore earned a B.S. in communications and a B.A. in English. Salvatore worked as a bouncer before committing to full-time writing. Now known for The Demon Wars Saga and his Forgotten Realms novels, Salvatore has also written video games. He lives in Massachusetts.
