Dennis is the author of several journal articles and booklets in the field of disabilities but has never been able to kick the feeling that he was meant to make up things rather than analyze them. Bridging the gap between professional writing and fiction are his non-fiction histories, Mount Holly: A Hometown Reinvented, The Burlington County Prison, and Parallel Communities: The Underground Railroad in South Jersey, all for History Press.
Dennis has a historical novel completed and published through Llumina Press (FL) and Amazon Kindle, and has been piecing together a mystery series set in the Civil War. He retired in 2010 and moved to Orillia, Ontario (Canada, not California) with his family.
