Betty Neels was born in Leyton, England in 1909 and died in 2001 in England. Neels began writing after she retired from her nursing career when she needed something to keep her mind active. Having listened to a librarian complaining about the lack of good romances, she got a typewriter and started her second career. Neels was the author of more than 130 romance novels.
