Some interesting ideas.

If I were 20 I'd love it. This book feels like "Conversations With God" books but not nearly as good. I recommend Neale's first and third if you're a younger reader. There is truth in this book but it is through the filter of someone at an ethnocentric level of development. At times the writing is even condescending and preachy and moralizing. Sometimes she writes interesting tidbits like "awareness transcends intelligence", food for thought for readers of any social and spiritual level.

Interesting conversation with God...

I enjoyed reading this book and her first, which is the first volume of this series. I find the information interesting and certainly worthy of our focused attention. There were times when the information seemed to be directly for the author and I was not totally certain that it could be useful/applicapable to me or the reader, but upon further study I feel that it is possible to see how it "could" cross over. There seems to be a great number of individuals out there hearing the word of God and I appreciate all of the writers who take time to share it with us who wait for the direction, help, affirmations, truths, and wisdom it imparts. This does it beautifully. It is uplifting, hopeful, and right to the point.

a joy and a blessing to read

I am always a bit suspicious of books that purport to be channeled from God, Jesus, or high spiritual begings from the Great Beyond. Your Deepest Intent isn't exactly such a book, yet its author, Rev. Deborah Johnson writes that her words "Come to me from Pure Spirit as a conversation in the form of letters." What impresses me about this book is not its seeming Source, it is the transformative power of its words. Your Deepest Intent inspires me to clarify and purify my own deepest intent. This book includes so many catalysts for personal and planetary transformation, integrated into a cohesive whole, that all I can do here is give one a flavor of some of the topics covered. Here's a few: Intent moves desire into manifestation; Understand how to be a miracle, not just have one; Maintaining possibility consciousness is your primary responsibility; Opportunities to purify your heart are your answered prayers; You are not punished for your mistakes, you are punished by them; Look for Truth, not the lie you want to discredit; Act like you know what you know; True abundance is knowing that you are enough; You project your sins onto others, then sacrifice them; The people of America need to examine their deepest intent; Democracy is about empowering all, not winnning by simple majority, Come a little higher to see the whole picture. Your Deepest Intent is not a spiritual comfort food book that fills one up (yet its premise is that we are always already in the arms of God, and peace comes through realizing and remaining faithful to this truth). This book is more like a fine wine that is best approached with care and sensitivity. It was a joy and a blessing to read this book. -- Joe Pietromonaco, Ph.D.

Letters from the Infinite by Deborah L. Johnson

The message this book delivers resonates totally with my belief system. While it supports that Jesus lived and brought a powerful message to mankind, it puts spirituality, religion and the church in proper perspective. Is also provides insight into the true meaning of life and the individual's relationship to the infinite...to God. I challenge other spiritually minded people to read this book and not be affected by the message. I cherish this book will keep it as a resource.

Spirituality without "religion"

I was fed up with religious dogma. I wanted to find a basis for spirituality that applied to the present as well as the past. "Letters from the Infinite" provides that basis and goes on to explain how to apply that spirituality to my everyday life by using its 'Tools for Living'. These are practical steps that anyone can take to open themselves to their God. It explains that God is good, all of the time and that we are perfect, whole, and complete right now. Then it explains why we can't stay that way. Why we must continue to open ourselves to more fully enjoy our selves, our relationships, and our lives.I highly recommend this book. I believe that anyone who has a desire to find the higher meaning of life must read this book, regardless of where they are on their spiritual path.
