Great read!

This was a great book and a quick read- a must read for those of us who grew up in the 70's and 80's, it really brings you back to some things we'd much rather forget(think fashion). Her journey though is something we can all relate to. Looking forward to reading about Bella again!

I 'wish' it didn't end!!

This is such a great book! I read it in 2 days and I came away feeling like I learned something from Bella and her experiences. Her relationships felt so real and I could relate to many of them. I can't wait for Melina's next book.

Gotta read Wish if you lived through the 70's & 80's

Wish is a great read. Not only is it a funny novel, but it has depth as well. The commentary during the adolescent years was hilarous. Wish hits the right notes when Bella's tells us & relates about her autistic brother during a time when little was known about autism... Well worth the read!!!!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

This is a wonderful book! Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The story travels thru different time frames of Bella's life and brings back memories of the past, such as bell-bottoms, disco, Farrah Fawcett hair, etc. Anyone born in the 50's and 60's can relate to this book and all the fads mentioned. It is a good read for anyone looking for a down-to-earth, true to the times novel. It's not your ordinary fiction.

awesome real and relatabe

I read this book in under two days, it was a totally awesome read. i found myself a few times laughing out loud at what happens to Bella, while totally getting an understanding at what life is like for a family with an autisitic child and the struggles they go through and how they learn to pull through and adjust. its a heartwarming story with a suprise happy ending that warmed my heart. it wasnt some sappy love story nor was it a depressing story. it was presented in a light and cute way through the life of Bella and how she learned to accept her autistic brother which lead to her accepting herself.
