An interesting Star Wars story.

The first half of this book was very good. I loved how it showed complicated yet deep relationship between Obi-wan and Anakin. However, I completely lost interest in the second half when Bail became the focus. I didn’t find him written interesting and it dragged on. The ending was a little anti climatic.

A great Clone Wars story!!!!

I absolutely enjoyed this SW Clone Wars title. Obi Wan Kenobi is my most favorite SW character, and I enjoyed how the author tried to show the relationship that is built between Kenobi and Bail Organa. A must read for all SW fans!

The first Star Wars book that had me pausing to think about what I had just read

I expected this book to have action and and Anakin Skywalker. While I did get some action and a little of Anakin there were passages where characters would discuss, or is some cases debate, why things were the way they are or when it is a good idea to keep secrets and if so what type of secrets and the list keeps going. And this is different from other Star Wars books where they rarely talk about beliefs or why some things just are. If you are expecting lots of Anakin or Ahsoka they are only in the beginning and at the end. But if you want lots of Obi-Wan by all means at least borrow it from someone. Heck, Wild Space isn't just a one time read either. I have read it about three times My hat goes off to Ms. Miller for writing one of the most satisfying Star Wars I have ever read. I just wish the same thing could be said about Karen Traviss.

Wild Space (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

I was so excited when I read the back of this book and it did not disappoint me. I love how the author gets inside the characters heads showing us some character make up and emotion. I personally have been wishing for a novel like this for many many years. I also liked how the relationship of Bail Organa and Obi-wan is formed and cemented. It left me wanting more. I too noticed some time line differences but lets face it to keep the stories going some facts are going to change. I highly recommend this book. I truly hope there will be more books like this.

Surprisingly Good

This novel caught me off-guard when I found myself enjoying it tremendously. For a first-time Star Wars author, most of Karen Miller's characterizations appear to be nearly spot-on. Particularly, Miller's Obi-Wan is especially insightful, and is as good as the character gets. As for story, this novel is head, shoulders, and torso above the majority of the latest offerings in Del Rey's thankfully-ended "Legacy of the Force" series and is leagues beyond the regrettable "Dark Nest Trilogy." Don't be fooled by the cartoony cover art; if you've been lamenting the overall state of Star Wars fiction the past decade, this novel should revive your optimism.

A Pleasant Surprise

The Republic is in turmoil and the ever elusive General Grievous is causing havoc in the battle against the Separatists. Senator Bail Organa has been in constant communication with an unknown source that has warned of an imminent Sith attack. Reluctantly the Jedi Counsel sends Obi-Wan Kenobi and Bail on a top secret mission to meet with his source and determine the nature of the threat. Their dangerous journey will lead them into the unchartered Wild Space territories and ultimately to the dark Sith world of Zigoola. Obi-Wan has faced a life time of trials and turmoil, but nothing can prepare him for the darkness that awaits in Wild Space. This is Karen Miller's first foray into the Star Wars universe, but it certainly won't be her last. Wild Space is an engaging tale that gives us a new and refreshing glimpse behind the scenes of the Clone Wars. Miller effectively incorporates a few action packed sequences, but the novel's strength lies in the exploration of the relationship between Bail Organa and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The dynamic between these two revered characters is fun and eye-opening at every turn, bringing yet even more depth to the Star Wars universe we love so much. Wild Space was a pleasant surprise for me and Karen Miller has proven that every Star Wars novel doesn't have to be full of epic battles, dueling light sabers, and droid decapitation. Miller reminds us of the one thing that makes Star Wars so iconic: the characters. This is a different style of Star Wars storytelling, and one that is a welcome addition to the exciting Clone Wars novels.
