Loved this series!

I loved this series. Very thought provoking, especially if you have been struggling with your relationship with God! It is writing for young adults, but I enjoyed it, even though I am 45.

Finding Yourself

The book On My Own by Melody Carlson is an excellent book. It is the third book in the series Diary of a Teenage Girl. Caitlin is really finding out what she has to do with her life and where she'll end up. She is really confused about if she wants to go to Mexico to help the kids down there, or stay home and go to college. She is still sticking to her commitment to God by not dating, but she still has doubts about it. Caitlin meets someone new who will show her that her life is good with God and will always be. She will have to face some challenging troubles at home with her family. During the book Caitlin's mother got pregnant, but something goes wrong. Read and see how the family reacts to what has happened. Through this book, discover what decisions Caitlin will make about what to do with her life. Will she break her commitment to God by dating someone? Will she find out who she truly is? Some of the things I liked in this book are the situations that Caitlin is in, the true consequences of what decisions she makes, and the friendships that form. Caitlin will be in some difficult situations and will have to decide what is really best for her. Meeting new people, she will be able to see how they live their life, and what their relationship with God is like. Racism, everyone hates it to some extent. In this book that was something I didn't like. I know it teaches everyone things, but I just didn't like reading about it. Blacks get hurt everyday by whites! Everyone is the same, no matter what skin color you have. I always feel sad for blacks when they are getting criticized because it hurts each and every one of them. I would recommend this book to every teenage girl who just loves to read about veritable life. I'm sure if anyone has read the last two books, they are planning to read this novel. This read was just really good. Would you pick up the book and start reading already?!

Drama Ceneral

This book is the third book in the series and it is mainly about a girl named Caitlin Renee O'Conner and her life. She is 17 years old and is a very religious girl. She gave up dating in her previous books. Caitlin is a senior in high school and is starting to make more and more friends and trying to bring people together. Caitlin and her friends, Beanie and Jenny, have all had things happen to their lives. All three of them became catholic. Caitlin is trying to get people to follow god. There are a lot of good things that happen but there are also bad and sad things that happen. Caitlin becomes friends with a girl named Anna. Anna is different for Caitlin because she is black and Caitlin respects that. Caitlin, Anna, Beanie, and Jenny go to a college to check it out. This college was a religious college and they were all interested. When the results came back not everyone was happy. I liked everything about this book; it was a very good book. All the books in the series are good. There wasn't anything in this book that I didn't like. I would suggest this book to all girls starting at the age of thirteen. If you like drama this is the book for you. This is a good book for you if you like diary books. If you want to read this book you need to read the books in order because if you don't you will be lost.

Who I am: Diary of a Teenage Girl

Author: Melody Carlson This book is an autobiography of Caitlin O' Conner, a 17 year old girl (going on 18) in her senior year at high school. It is the 3rd book in the series Diary of a Teenage Girl. Her two best friends are Jenny and Beanie, but Caitlin soon makes a new friend Anna. Caitlin lives with her mom, dad and little brother, Ben. She has recently given up on dating, since she has given her heart to God! Her x-boy friend who has also stopped dating is Josh. His little sister, Chloe, is starting to become a little to mature for her age and dressing like she was 18. He is concerned about her, so he asked Caitlin to become friends with her and try to teach Chloe about God. Caitlin's uncle, who is also her pastor at church, helps her and her friends in the many problems they face! Caitlin is a person who likes to be in control, and think what she does is what her friends should do. Her friends get annoyed of her trying to run their life's and trying to get them to stop dating and forget about boys! Caitlin is trying to work on that, and she learns a very good lesson at what she should say! She is struggling with issues such as teen suicide, racial prejudice, and her own judgmental heart, but the only thing to keep her going is her faith! Being her senior year, Caitlin is trying to decide what to do with the rest of her life! Not being accepted into the college she really would like to join (unless she wants to pay full price), throws her whole life of balance. Go throw this amazing journey of courage and guts with Caitlin, as she struggles to make the right decisions! It is a never-ending adventure of a 17 year old trying to follow God's pathway and deal with the rest of the world! I really enjoyed this book and hope you check it out!! Especailly if you are a teenager and cant decide what to do with the rest of your life!

My review

I loved this book because it really was real. I liked the way it can apply to a teenage girls' lives. I liked the way it kept you on the edge of your seat.I loved this book because it taught you how to be a good friend. The book also taught people to not judge others becuase Caitlen(the narrator)met so many people and helped so many of her friends change their lives it's really amazing. The book taught me to be open and also be a good listener at the same so that your friends can talk to you about lots of things. I enjoyed this book and I hope you will enjoy it too. So if you're a teenage girl I hope you read it enjoy it.

A revelation

Through out our high school years we go through peer-pressure, and beliving if there really is a GOD. I whent through the same experiences that Caitlin did. It is amazing how much God can do for us if we just let him have our heart. For we can do all things through Jesus Christ our LORD who strengthens us. I pray that who ever reads this book... comes to find the lord... and comes to seek him...that they too will come to accept JESUS CHRIST as their LORD and SAVIOR! IN THE NAME OF JESUS!And if they already have, and their lifes have been a continues dead end street with no answeres that they seek and find Jesus and recommit their lifes to him ~AMEN
