A Romantic Suspense

It's midnight. She's sleeping. He breaks into their houses. He abducts them, tapes thier mouth and eyes shut, and makes them perform sexual acts on themselves. He puts them in mortorcycle gear and drives them an unknown distance, to a trailer where he shaves every hair particle off thier bodies. They are all red headed, green eyed, flirtateous women. He is the Violator and no one knows who he is. Russ Sadler, the lead detective on the Violator case, and the Seattle Police Department, work strenuously to crack the case. There's only one witness, Myra Simone, a homeless woman and chronic drug taker. She cant seem to remember the face and she isnt satisfied with the Police Sketch. Jennifer Nash, a nationally known sketch artist, is called in to help. Nationally known, yes, But her tactics have made her imfamous with the Seattle Police Department. Especially with Russ Sadler, her ex-fiance, whom she left the night before the wedding. At first it seems impossible for the two to work together, but it seems like Jennifer and Russ still harbor an extreme love for each other. A great book. Both suspensful and romantic at the same time. A sensual mystery... highly recomended

Romantic Suspense

Seattle women are being terrorized. In the middle of the night, they awaken to find themselves staring at a stranger who then abducts them, mutilates, rapes, and dumps them. The police are baffled, but the case is going nowhere fast. Then, the madman escalates, killing one of the victims. Now the cops get really serious, bringing in one of their best sketch artists after finding a witness to the murder. Jennifer Nash now has to work with her once upon a time lover, Russ Sadler, the lead detective. The passion that was once between these two has turned to hostility, but that quickly melts as they can not resist what never truly died. However, what Jennifer is able to learn from the victims makes her terrified. She recognizes the face that emerges under her skilled art. Racing against time, Jennifer and Russ try to keep one step ahead of a maniac in this tangled web.***** With the heat that is a trademark of this writer, Ms. Forster twists and turns the reader through an intricate maze. The plot may be confused, but the sensuality is unmistable. ***** Reviewed by Amanda Killgore

exciting police procedural romance

The entire Seattle metropolitan area is terrorized by the serial killer the Violator especially since his last victim was Sharon Myer, a cop working the case. Residents wonder if the police are not safe who is from this night stalker who, come midnight, snatches females from their bed. Even The Morning After no longer feels safe.Police Chief Kate Townsend directs Sharon's partner Russ Sadler to work with forensic artist Jennifer Nash as a homeless person witnessed the latest homicide. Russ does not want to work alongside Jennifer, nor her with him as both still reels from the torrid affair they had that ended in two third-degree burn victims. As their love reheats, Russ refuses to play as Jennifer dumped him two years ago even while both struggles to focus on catching the Violator before someone else dies.Though the bookstores are flooded with a rash of serial killers (must be the acid free paper), WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING is an exciting police procedural romance due to the electricity generated by the lead couple. The dichotomy of love and animosity rings so real that the audience will comprehend how difficult it is for Russ and Jennifer to team up though that is what is needed to capture the Violator. Suzanne Forster writes a strong romantic suspense that will enthrall her vast audience.Harriet Klausner

Not a typical Forster...

Jennifer Nash is renowned for her uncoventional way of tapping into a witnesses subconcious and producing an eerily accurate sketch of the suspect. When she is called to Seattle to interview a witness that has been the police departments only lead, she is hesitant, but goes anyway, as the latest victim was a good friend of hers. The reason for her reluctance is all too apparent when she arrives. Russ Sadler, who is the lead detective on the case is also her ex-fiance. Though she knows he has no reason to forgive her, she can't help but hope that he will. Soon she is in the middle of a case that leaves her as the target of a psycopath and has her doubting the man that she loves.Russ Sadler always had a hard time opening up and showing his emotions to anyone, but with Jennifer it just happened. When she left him with no explanations, he closed himself off. Now she is back and he can't help but feel the pull to her that he felt for their brief time together. However he has a case to solve where his ex-partner was murdered and a witness that seems to be a little crazy. This is a pretty straightfoward romantic suspense, which I haven't come to expect from Forster. She always has a plotline that is really out there, but a great read anyway, which this was not. Jennifer's 'problem' with intamicy is anti-climatic because it is not anything that you would expect. I really enjoyed this book, but didn't expect something so tame.A great book!
