What Makes Me... Me Paperback is a great children’s book by Anne Baldwin and Levi Baldwin. It tells the story of a little boy who has a neurological disorder. I know many readers would be able to relate with him. To my knowledge, there does not seem to be many books out there that tackle this subject and I appreciate the authors were able to use their talents to write one. I loved how the book was able to show younger readers the importance of knowing the differences of others. I liked how it teaches how to have compassion. It gives children a way to see how the brain sometimes works. The rhyming words has a perfect rhythm that makes the story flow and easier to follow for the younger ones. I thought it was great and hope to gift my copy to another special little boy I know.
What Makes Me... Me is beautifully illustrated by QBN Studios. The colorful images perfectly go along with the story. They are a great way to keep younger readers to be more attentive and have a better understand as to what was going on.
I am giving What Makes Me... Me a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of four and nine years old. It would be great addition for classroom reading, as well as, public and school libraries. I would love for the authors Anne Baldwin and Levi Baldwin to write more books like this in the future.
I received a soft cover copy of What Makes Me... Me from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
