Book Overview

An Out-of-Control Rock Star. An Inescapable Addiction to Drugs. A Miraculous Redemption through Jesus Christ.

You think you've heard this story before but you haven't. Washed by Blood is a look at the dramatic saving power of Jesus Christ unlike any other--one that shows how God looks out for all of us, even those who seem farthest away from his grace.

Excellant Reading

This book offers an inside look at fame and how it can detsroy you if you're not strong in your relationship with God. By "humanizing" a famous rock star, teens especially can benefit from learning that they are not alone with their daily struggles with peer pressure and wanting to feel loved and needed. At the end of each chapter, the reader finds a list of thought provoking questions that help them to learn more about themselves and the love God has for them. I strongly recommend this book for teenagers and the parents who love them.

I love him

Head is such a beautiful man. I am just awestruck by him. He is inspirational.

Please be advised...

Yes, this book is nearly the same as "Save Me From Myself." I read the previous, and thought it was very good. That being said, I'm reading "Washed" right now, and find it to be just as good the second time around. There are slight differences, and to be completely honest, it's been a while since I read "Save Me" so it's nice to remind myself of the amazing journey that this man has been through. Both books are very good. Just remember that they are extremely similar before you buy this and give it a bad review.

Same book but for a younger audience...

I have not read this specific book, but I listened to an interview with Brian Welch on the radio recently and he said this book is the same autobiography as "Save Me From Myself" but it leaves out some of the more in depth details making it more appropriate for a younger audience than the other version. So do not purchase both books! But if you are looking for a book for your teenager, this version may be a better fit. I hope this helps clear some of the confusion on these books.

WOW!

It is so encouraging to read about the miraculous change that Jesus Christ made in Head Welch's life. I recommend this for any non-believer you know... especially teens and young adults who struggle with belief and/or with drugs and alcohol. Its an amazing story and I know God used this book to change my life and will use Brian greatly for the Kingdom! This book is REAL....
