"Time To Get Buck Viking!!"

This is the first Sandra Hill book that I've read , and I must say I really enjoyed it!! I find myself being darwn to these vikings all of a sudden,Brandr and his brothers...tooo funny! and Joy!1...too much, not going to give away to good parts of the book, but if your looking for funny, sexy action !..this is one to read!!.. i look forward to more of sandra hills readings!!

Plenty of Laughs and Sexy Fun

This is the kind of romance I like--the hero and the heroine spar often, but realize they're quite attracted to one another despite their differences. Psychologist Joy Nelson travels to the Viking lands a thousand years in the past, and her refusal to cooperate with Brandr, the Viking leader, gets her into comically hot water. He insists she's his thrall, she insists she's not. It's hard to make a slave out of a woman who's served in the military and trained in combat. Brandr thinks Joy is "barmy," and even she has trouble accepting she's traveled through time, but the evidence grows the longer she's there. She makes some changes in the Viking way of life, including in the kitchen, and helps Brandr's young sister deal with the trauma of having been a victim of gang-rape by a rival clan. It's this latter success that convinces Brandr to consider a deal to give Joy her freedom. When all is said and done, Joy must decide if she wants to give up modern conveniences for a hard-working life with a Viking who wants to be with her always.
