I found it helpful.

I bought this book in the late 1980's. I have read it completely twice and found it to be a good presentation. It helped me understand several things, like basic bipolar transistor amplifiers, zener diodes, and voltage multipliers. I like the book better than some other electronics books I have read. It is good for the home hobbyist who wants to dabble, but is not likely to go deeply into all of the mathematics found in books for a professional. I did find some errors in the book, but they were easy to detect through cross-checking information found in other parts of the book. I simply made notes in the margin when I found such an error. I have gone back to it many times to check or refresh my understanding of something. I have several books on electronics and really like this book. I am glad I bought it.
