Really good textbook

This is a really good introduction to cognitive science for upper year undergraduate, interdisciplinary audience. It's written by a psychologist who also has a very solid background in computer science and in philosophy. Perhaps for that reason, it's well-balanced, clearly organized, and full of interesting examples that can easily serve as spring-boards for seminar discussion. I'd probably supplement it with some articles. But it stands up nicely as the background text. I'd actually like to see an updated second edition (perhaps on better paper). But I would not hesitate to use this first edition in the classroom.
