Tornadoes (Great Disasters)

This book is a very informative book. Any person can read this book because it pertains to every age group and every type of person. Not very many people will experience the wrath of a tornado, but if you are not prepared for one, and one happens to touch down, you will be out of luck. This book tells, in great detail, how a tornado is formed, where it is formed, and what to do when a tornado is formed. This book also goes into detail about how storm trackers risk their lives in order to better understand tornadoes so they can keep us safe. This book has different views about tornadoes, telling how some people see it as a beautiful dancing cloud, but also tells how other people look at the aftermath of the storm, and how a tornado's high winds can demolish a whole town in a matter of minutes. I also like this book because it tells how strong a tornado is, for example, a tornado can lift a huge two story house, and toss it three miles from it's original spot. This book makes me marvel at how such a harmless looking cloud can, and is, one of the most deadly storms on the face of the earth. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, especially if you are hoping to broaden your knowledge of tornadoes. This book is worth reading. Taylor H.
