I live in San Francisco and purchased this for ideas for when friends come to town. I love Time Out guides and feel like they give me cities like a good friend who happened to live there might.

I found this guide the most useful when I lived in the Bay Area. It was great for kids, young people, visiting friends and myself.

Great Guide To San Francisco

TIME OUT SAN FRANCISCO shows San Francisco to be a city that's both wealthy and socially and politically liberal, tolerating many different cultures, races, religions, and sexual orientations. It describes all of the sightseeing, dining, nightlife, and shopping opportunities in the city and surrounding areas, as well as listing the radio stations in the area, although you might want to know that KKSF is now classic rock. Overall, though, this book is a great guide to the City By The Bay.

Tried and tried good advice, good size for travel

A good and straight forward guide to San Francisco from the venerable English publisher. This company should do more guides. I used this when I went to San Francisco and it was indispensable.
